Seville, Spain

A good start and my struggle to adapt to the city of Seville could be the best beginning of my story with Sevilla! When I decided to go to Seville and continue my studies, I was filled with excitement for a fresh start in university! However, the problem started when I loved studying but didn’t love living in the city of Seville!

Part 1) The First Days and the Charming Orange Trees:

When I arrived in Seville, I was captivated by the beauty of this city, from its traditional architecture to its beautiful orange trees! These trees gave a lovely touch to the city, and during my first days, I was determined to live for a few years in the beautiful Andalusia!

Part 2) Returning After a Month:

I spent the first month living in a hotel so I could find an apartment to rent because I didn’t intend to live in the university dorms! Therefore, during that month, I was searching for my ideal apartment in the neighborhoods of Nervión to Triana, both of which were amazing areas.

However, after a month went by, the pressure of university studies, the struggle to find a home, and most importantly, the inability to connect with the city of Seville made me decide to leave! But not forever!

Part 3) Coming Back to Seville Again:

One night, I decided to take a month off from the university and leave Seville because I had never experienced such a state of mind before! I truly felt depressed! Although I was connecting with students from all around the world, I felt that I was the only one who couldn’t be happy in Seville, while intensified my feelings of depression.

However, after a month of recovery, I returned to Seville and searched for a house, this time with a classmate so I would feel less alone! But again, in the first week, I did not feel satisfied with my life in Seville! So, I decided to leave Seville for good, but with the intention of capturing beautiful and memorable moments!

Part 4) Starting YouTube and Making Peace with Seville:

After withdrawing from the university, I extended my stay in the hotel for a week to fully enjoy Seville! Therefore, as a first step, I started my YouTube channel and with my camera, I went to my favorite neighborhoods in Seville and recorded beautiful videos of this city.

During that week, I was always outside the hotel because I wanted to make peace with this beautiful city, spending mornings and evenings in the historical streets inspired by Arab presence! As long as I had energy, I filmed videos of Seville with both my camera and my phone!

Part 5) From Nervión to Triana:

For a week, my daily routine was to go from Nervión to Triana! After just two days, I fell in love with Seville! So much so that I began to doubt my earlier decision! And the words of that man were still ringing in my ears! He told me, “First, you must fall in love with Seville and then study there!

I loved studying, but i hadn’t given myself the chance to enjoy Seville! So I would leave the hotel early in the morning and walk all around the city. I had marked on the map which places I needed to see, from museums to both historical and modern areas of the city.

Part 6) Last Day and Return to Madrid!

I spend the last evening in the Nervión neighborhood, wanting to enjoy the area around my hotel! I also filmed a video from that area and Plaza de Nervión, starting from the Estadio Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán (the stadium of Sevilla FC) and captured nearby areas. It was a video that I watched several times after recording.

On the last day, as I was returning to Madrid, everything changed emotionally for me, and I truly loved Seville. As I said goodbye to the city, I promised, “I’ll see you again!”
